Each year, insurance industry professionals gather at Insuretech Connect, the world’s largest insurance tech and digital summit. During the conference subject matter experts explored how the insurance industry is changing both in response and reaction to new technologies, such as cloud computing, machine learning, and AI, in addition to evolving customer needs.

To launch the summit, we heard from attendees, like IIya Bodner, on the different themes throughout the years. Past themes included concepts like disruption, full-stack, and APIs.
Throughout the summit, experts shed light on the newest trends in the industry including the usage of drones, which work to make the claims process more accurate.

Pat Gee, SVP of Personal Insurance Claim at Travelers also touched on the claims process and the need to make it more efficient for customers.

Regarding the future of the insurance industry, Prudential weighed in on digitization and the fact that, “anything that can be digitized will be digitized” thanks to AI as told by Kara Swisher.
